It’s impossible to imagine life today without electronic tools: the computer, the countless programs that are used nowadays, the Internet… In the translating profession, too, there are various timesaving and therefore cost-reducing tools, such as advanced translation programs. These are used to create databases with which large-volume, repetitive texts are automatically pre-translated so that the terminology is always consistent throughout the document. In this way, the original layout can usually be retained and at the same time considerable savings can be achieved. I am familiar with the use of translation programs as Trados and Transit. Your translations can be supplied in most programs that are currently available, such as PC and Mac systems. |
